Position Summary
The elementary teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction that supports academic growth, student well-being, and a positive campus culture. The ideal candidate is student-centered, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement while maintaining high expectations for all learners.
Primary Responsibilities
The elementary teacher plans and delivers engaging, standards-aligned instruction based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Instruction should be data-informed, developmentally appropriate, and designed to meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students. The teacher establishes a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, respectful behavior, and a love of learning. Ongoing assessment practices are used to monitor student progress, adjust instruction, and provide timely feedback to students and families. The teacher collaborates with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, and campus leadership to strengthen instructional practices and align with campus and district goals. Clear and professional communication with parents and guardians is expected to support student success. The teacher fulfills all professional responsibilities, including lesson planning, supervision duties, documentation, and participation in professional development.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a valid Texas teaching certificate or be eligible for certification in Elementary Education. A strong understanding of elementary curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom management is required. Experience using formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to collaboration. New teachers and experienced educators are encouraged to apply.

Salary and benefits are provided in accordance with the district compensation plan and applicable Texas Education Code requirements.
